Xtreme Scoobies in Harlow...

Postby WR1 Bro » Fri Jun 24, 2005 7:32 am

Anyone know anything about them? Any good or stay away?

Also, has anyone got any advice on a dump value for a bugeye WRX PPP?

Xtreme Scoobies are near Chelmsford and mostly cater for subarus (obviously ;) )

There is an Xtreme in Harlow which is like a Ripp Speed place selling alloys, neons, stereo's, etc. Two different companies who AFAIK have no ties.

As for dump valves, I assume you want a Vent to Atmosphere which makes a silly Whhhhhhhhoooooshing sound, not taking the piss - I have a HKS BOV on my bugeye.

Most people will class these as chavy and will try and scare you with stories of bore wash, poor idling, jerky gear changes, etc. Just remember they offer no performance gains and a decent one shouldn't affect the running of the car. If you like the noise then go for it :)

Xtreme Scoobies in Boreham are a very good outfit. I used them religiously on my old scoob and they done some top quality work. I know the owner personally and he's a top bloke.

Re: the dumpvalve I would go for a turbosmart fully adjustable with uprated wastegate. Chatters and all sorts. Lovely bit of kit if not a tad on the expensive side. Have a rally chatter is worth the money though

Sort of on-topic.....

Spike, do you think your performance figures were affected by the dump valve you fitted prior to the RR sesion as the car wasn't mapped for it?

Or am I talking bollocks?
