Ok it's me I'll admit it I haven't taken the DCCD out of Auto yet as really I'm not sure quite how it works ie what setting and when I would use it?

Could someone wiser give me a rundown of how, why, and when I would use it, then maybe then I could go further into the licence losing zone!!!

I think you turn it all the way back and go have some sliding action!!

I'm sure somebody who actually owns a WR1 will be along to tell you how to use it properly but in the meantime give that a try!

The Diff COntrol :)

Funny thing is it feels different compared to the Diff control on my Type R

With the Type R fall back intot he Green, it really did drive like a rear wheel drive car, with rear wheels spinning while overtaking in the wet in 3rd :)

Anyway ill stop dreaning about the past....

Auto is fine, but if you want to try it out as a rule of thumb for me.

I move it into the second orange while driving in the rain on B roads.

around the city with lots of tight manouvers its best to have it in the green.

At the end of the day its best to try it out at different settings.

The only setting not to go for is the Lock Diff which is a click as for into the orange it can go.

By locking the diffs, it wont go round corners, well it will but you will get clinking noises from the diff clutches.

Im sure there was a write up of the Diff control on SN, but it was for Type Rs i think.

Hope that helps mate.

I've got a list on my home computer of what the power splits are with the different settings. I'll post it up when i get home this evening.

Just me then :D i use mine in fully locked when im really giving it some, the grip is imense most rally cars are set up with a 50/50 split which is pretty much what you get with the dccd in locked.
It will not go around tight corners at slow speed in that setting though so you will need to roll it back for junctions etc.
To be honest i havent found much use for the green open position.

Thats the fun position mate, i run it fully open 95% of the time even in the wet :D Fully locked makes the car harder 2 hook up on the corners giving a touch of understeer. Far prefer back end sliding than the front :D

Not really keen on auto mode car seems 2 twitch mid corner as dif applies power 2 front, tends 2 wander all of a sudden going over bumps & rises in road surface & thats what all the roads are like up here!!!, smooth tarmac whats that

Gee

Right, i've had to search on the 'net and this is the best that i've come up with. It's mainly for the classics rather than the new age cars.

See if you can see someone you know in there
