Cold weather = Cooler charge temps

Postby Gee Wr1 » Wed Nov 03, 2004 12:33 am

Don't know what weather like else where in the country but up here in the Highlands the temp has dropped big time  windows iced over in the morns :(
BUT That means cooler air feeding the engine :D :D :D Had mine out last night in 4-5c temp & what a differance !!! Exhaust seemed louder & popping on gear changes, pick up seemed lot quicker & on a bit of Private test track  between corner & sign i use as braking point 4 next corner it pulled 10mph more than usual 8) 8) :D

I get some mental fireworks when giving it large in the cold. WR1 loves it!! No need to pumpn the I/C button either.

Was ragging down the unlit section of a road near to where I live ... kept lighting the road up behind me with the monster flames I was kicking out!

Must admit, a couple of weeks ago I took my scooby for a blast with the temp reading 8 degrees. What a difference. Came in, telling the missus it goes like a balistic missile.
Dry roads & cold air, you just can't beat it :D :D :D :D

I've just been outside for a smoke and now would would be a great time for a drive out. The air is cold and crisp and must be worth at least 10bhp extra!!
