Car Wars on tv
Posted: Mon Nov 08, 2004 10:37 pmDid anyone see "car wars" on bbc1, it was a 2 part programme, last week and the week before about cars getting nicked big time (averaging 158 a day in London) gangs were exporting them to Nigeria hidden amongst scrap metal in containers.
The interesting thing was the police over there had a helicopter fitted with a tracking device, they flew it across a motorway and it went crazy, they said there was more cars on the roads emitting tracker signals than not, they were all nicked from europe and some still had their original plates on.
After all the threads about tracking devices and what a success rate they have it does make you wonder if its all just a money making con.
Has anyone lost a car and got it back because of the tracker that you know of.
