best cleaning and polishing products.

wandered what everyone uses to keep their pride and joys clean, i am a big fan of meguiars, i know swissol is very good but very expensive, also my washmitt from meguiars has just fell to pieces, got about 7 months use out of it, what sort of item does everyone use to wash their car with, don't really like sponges as they trap the dirt, and thus causes minute scratches.

I use a towel, which i wash after i've washed the car. Then i wax the car with Swissol. It is a bit dear but very good. :)

Swissol here too! I've used it on all my Subarus and been pleased with the results. Using Shield wax, great for reducing bugs and dirt sticking to the paintwork but takes several coats to get a really deep shine.
Use a sponge but I make sure it is regularly rinsed so the dirt isn't trapped.

Hi Mick.

Great news that you have got the car, I will PM you later.

I use Swissol shield wax, costs, but will last you a good while. I now use teery towl small to wash the car and a large bath towel to dry, these then get washed after being used. Only just started doing this after advise from company i got the wax from.

Could not believe how good washing and drying the car is following the advice.

Wax it once a month, rain just runs off and flys bugs dont stay on either.
