Sorry, I get confused with your feminine car history. All clear now, you are male and you did own a Focus?
Robin - any chance you could advise on a couple of good locations? I'll be out all this week and wont get a chance to look...
Its a focus that will put your car to shame once its got its wheels going anyway .... actually having said that what power is your car running at now?
With the wax from last night I reckon it looks around 500bhp.
Will do give me 24hrs, a bit manic at the moment picking up bits from here there and everywhere to try and get the car out for Croft this weekend.
Ah well in that case it might struggle ... a std wr1 might struggle tho
On paper a 320ish 2wd Focus should have the edge.... if the power managed to transfer to forward motion.
Exe-tc people explained the reason for understeer is due to the back suspension being to soft, ie; you press the go pedal the rear end squats which transfers the weight to the rear in turn the front goes light which enhances the understeer. ..... or sommit like that !
but I still rather be in a understeering scoob that a dagaham dustbin. 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
rofl your probably right there - you normally stiffen the back soften the front to stop understeer. The ST seems to stick its ass in the air slightly compared to the STI being flat on the road, prolly why it does it. I wonder if coil overs would be able to sort this out... adjusting rears to be stiffer than front?
Hi,
The best place for Sunday lunch in the Midlands is probably the Butchers Arms. It is so good that companies like Jaguar and Land Rover take people there to eat. First class service, excellent food and in the area where you can sit and have coffee they have original design drawing given to them by people such as Gerry McGovern http://www.thebutchersarms.com I can guarantee we would be well looked after here and they are totally family friendly. The Sunday Lunch is £30 a head http://www.thebutchersarms.com/Food_and ... p#Starters We would need to book this as they are normally booked up in advance for Sunday lunch to the extent they have 2 sittings. The other pub I would have suggested which does a fantastic Sunday lunch and is cheaper than the Butchers isn't possible for this event as they are doing a big refurb and the restaurant will not open again until the 19th May. In future I can probably get us a good group deal there though. So if the Butchers Arms isn't what we are looking for let me know and I will come up with some other suggestions. Robin

Make that a 700 mile round trip for me. £30 per head for a sunday lunch is it a 5 course 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
change of plan , were going to the cross in kenilworth now, which is a place i would highly recomend, somewhere i go every week
jim
Hi Chaps,
Thanks for the invite....... Just checked on the route finder - 978 mile round trip for me Have a good one TTFN
There must be enough wr1s in Scotland to warrant a Scottish lunch meet? I'll drive up and run the car in you organise it! PMSL
Got the mail but like some of the others the round trip of around 900 miles+ is just to far to go for lunch & with the fuel situation up here as it is (only allowed £15 per fill up in Inverness) i don't think i'll be going to far from home at the mo.
Cheers all the same & hope you have a nice lunch folk.
It is 3 courses but I will be disappointed if you don't think it is worth it!
Which Sitting?Hi,
There are sittings, 12.30 or 2.30 any preference? and please could those that haven't confirm how many places they want. Thanks, Robin
