I had a quad for about a year 500cc Polaris troy lee it was so much fun even more so when it was wet every corner was taken sideways yet going reletivly slow.
I get 65mpg from my Clio and getting a remap soon so will be over 70mpg.

I do like the smart car though very nippy round town.

FPMSL... Being green does not necessarily SAVE YOU money... but it might just help to save the planet. Sort of hoping the carbon footprint will cancel out some of the carbon footprint from our other cars...

Stu,

One of my friends has such car and I had the 'pleasure' of going out in it again last week in Zurich. I do not think you'll enjoy this at all.

It really crashes about badly and despite being really small, the chassis is not nimble and reactive at all. It is actually really slow in its reactions. Combine this with a really slow gearbox and you have one of the less pleasant cars to drive.

Go and try

Cheers.

Stu,

We have had Smarts in the family since 1998. It depends a lot where you are going to drive it. If it is around town mostly then they are a great little car and more than capable of the odd motorway drive when needs must.

If you were going to be doing lots of A and B road driving then maybe it might not be such a good choice.

I have a Brabus For Two Coupé sitting at my place at the moment (its my parents waiting to be sold) if you want to have a day tooling around in one to make your mind up if they are for you.

Robin

I've got a little C1 as a run about instead of using the CTR all the time. You can pick them up pretty cheap and it's good fun around town and not to bad on the motorway and returns about 450+ miles to a £35 fill up :)

I'd certainly have a look at one of those or the Toyota / Pug equivalents if you want some cheap motoring. Group 1 insurance and just cost £35 for a years RFL (apparently free next year) :D
