RCM Induction air filter?

Postby huzzy » Fri Mar 05, 2010 8:28 pm

Anybody have one of the above, was looking at one of these or a K & N Typhoon, both retail at £220ish and thought I'd see what everyones thoughts are?

Clarks got 1 have a word with him, he swears by it. there quite a few people on this who hav 1 must b good. iv had a look myself but havnt got the money becoz u hav to get a remap for its full potential & so u dont mess up the air flow metre.

Ah right, so spending £220 on an induction kit really adds up to about £800 to get the full potential as a remap is essential?

HaHa !!!!!!!! YAR............ go on---- Marry it up to a Forge Dump Valve and go the whole hog ! ( Then you can come up to a meet of some of the Jap cars in Worcestershire.)

Did I mention the spit of flame that's a bonus... it usually follows a rather large pop/bang tho..poor ickle turbo ! I'm sure it must be shortening its life. The poor things been on drugs for the whole of its teenage years... will it last to become a mature young man ??

Got that too, pluss going to do the usual things aswell before remap.
My kit has the red crackle finish it looks so hot. Cant wait to get it on, going to get some other red hoses to brighten up the engine bay and match the kit.

i have gone a month without driving when the snow was here but 5 Clark, lucky you get the occasional Lambo/Aston/Ferrari blast to keep your car levels up!!! how long to go now? will be worth it to keep it immaculate, the stone chips ive got over this winter suck.

It's not so much stone chips - they can be easily fixed, it's the mess the salt makes of the undersides of cars that pi$$es me off, had a fair few scoobies and Evo's in through our doors that made me glad I dont run mine in the winter, I like being able to see my face in the shiny diff when I'm cleaning underneath

I've just bought a house in Kintore and move in in a few weeks so once the garage is all painted and floored I'll have it back out to play 8)

Russ was out with his toy on Sunday, made me really miss mine - the sound from that straight cut g/box of his is nuts!

The underside of my car isnt upto much anyway :D . But if it was i would feel the same as you. I need a full front end respray so once thats done i will be much happier but it wont be for ages.

Moving closer to your work will be better, that drive must kill. I have double garage at my house and its great in the evenings to be in all the lights on and polish the car or do something to it.

Am out to Russ on Thurs to get my new discs pads and hoses done, my car has not had brakes since i bought it. Getting 4 wheel alignment today. :D
