I been looking about for a wr1 for few months now and recently sold me car to fund this (which I thought that was the hard part).
Anyway i recently moved house and put a quote in for a WR1 with my current insurance company and i fell off my chair! its rocketed!!
Its went from an expected £900 to just over £3000. Since im now 5 months into my policy on my current car i dont really want to start again with a new company which i can get a quote for £1100.
Can another company taking on the remaining 7 months of my insurance under the WR1 and still recieving my no claims bonus? Or do i have to sit it out till november or pay the premium
cheers

Not sure about insurers taking on a policy, hope you get something sorted.

Now that is bad, there just a bunch of robbing bastards, iv recently bought my wr 1 and like u i had insurance running on another car but only 2 months and they only wanted £80 extra to put it on that policy which i didnt mind paying, then when the renewal come through at £1300 so i shopped around and found it for £700 so called my isurance company back who iv been with for 5 years told them the price i had be quoted and then the guy on the phone said the best we can do is £850 so i told him no thanks and carried on shopping around and got my insurance for £655 in the end, half of what i was originally quoted

if you change companies I think you will lose your no claims for this part year... have you moved into a pikey area or a caravan on the M1 or something?

I live in sunderland in the North East. Ive moved from a newly built estate on the edge of the town, now ive now moved back in the centre of sunderland. It a nice area, not known for its crime at all.
It not just the quote on the impreza that shot up tho. I had a focus ST-3 and was insuring it for £400 with aviva then moved to where i am. I sold my focus and am now driving a 1.2 corsa lol and thats costing my £900 lol... its a complete joke!!!
