This was posted on P1woc, bit of fun as it wont be very accurate1

http://www.letstorquebhp.com/calculator.asp

Prodrive qoute 4.6 seconds P1 0-60, and when i put the figures in for wieght and standard power it does not come out to far away. think some of the other times are a bit incorrect

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 276
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1290
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 217.39
0 - 60 (Secs) : 4.64
0 - 100 (Secs) : 12.47
60 - 100 (Secs) : 7.82
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 13.37
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 103.54
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.97
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 106.90

And figures for my car:

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 405
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1290
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 318.99
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.43
0 - 100 (Secs) : 8.67
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.24
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.03
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 117.75
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.63
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 121.80

the timing equipment at North Weald was out by 0.5seconds too!!

Mate, you just have to deal with the equipment, weather conditions, grip levels, temperature, etc on the day in question and do the best you can.

Had my 6 at santa pod a couple of times and one day I was always in the 12.9s and a couple of months later I couldnt do better than a 13.2 !!! No difference in the setup of the car or the way I drove it.

Most car companies are renowned for setting pritty unachievable 0 - whatever times and it very unlikely you'll even match it, let alone beat it, especially if you want to drive your car home afterwards!!!

I agree, i would hazzard a guess that mine would be round about 3.8-3.9 secs from other 5 speed classic impreza times/bhp i have seen measured with proper equipment.

What it is good for i suppose would be a direct comparrison between the same car, IE put std WR1 wieght/BHP in then put say Chris B's BHP, if it came out a second quicker 0-60 say that should be reasonably accurate

How heavy is a FQ400 by the way?

I believe an MR 8, which is lighter than an FQ due to aluminium roof, bonnet, boot, etc tips the scales at 1,400kgs.

The 400 is based on an MR but with a few less goodies - no satnav, spare wheel, etc but the larger brakes and exterior addons probably make up for it - so I'd guess it would be somewhere around the same - not 100% sure tbh, i'll have to bring it to work one day and get it weighed.

It wouldnt calculate the figures for my clio - too low power to weight ratio  (83 and needs to be at least 95).

As a rule of thumb I recon whatever you think your 0 - 60 time is add about 0.5 sec and thats probably what you'll achieve, maybe slightly better in perfect conditions.

I tried to check how much my weight advantage would give me. Looks like Pops, Bro or 1mposter would lose 0.5s over quarter-mile !

All jokes apart. Interesting thing but it seems a tad optimistic on 0-60 on the cars I looked at.
