May be worth a look for the daft northerner? as the houses are still being built, cant see 80k plus on prices inflated that much when still not all sold, 5 minutes of fame though Crash bang wollop!!
Never said the car actually had to be mentioned to the bank or be on the paperwork.
It could have its individual paperwork and be given to you as a gift. I am unsure how banks go about houses that are priced on the high end of the normal price bracket for an area. Anyone ? In the end, who can judge the value of a 350K house and say it is 40K overpriced ? The wrong thing to do, would of course be to throw in a 40K car and ask 100K extra for the house. You should see it as an item that attracts extra attention and will shift your house 1. faster, 2. hopefully at the full price you'd want.
I can! Too petty to be a traffic warden...
I mean officially, Chris. Who from the bank can say: "no, for this house, even if you have got the means to pay 350K for it and can easily pay this mortgage, we will only give you 310K as the house is only worth 310K according to us" ?
This was on our local news 6 - 7 weeks ago so he is not having much success with it . He said on the program that his new girlfriend will not let him drive it anymore as not safe or something along those lines also went on to say that it is kept in an airtight cover & never driven other than in the hot summer weather ( So thats 2 days a year up here mind )
Never out in rain etc was then shown on program outside on salt covered wet roads starting up and immediately revving the tits off it & blasting off up the street. The estate the house is on was the main car park for Durham which was sold for these to be built ?? alot on the the estate for sale normally so must be struggling to get rid
The surveyor acting for the mortgage lender would say "this is worth Too petty to be a traffic warden...
It just goes to show that advertising doesn't work. As a 'Joe Bloggs' the immediate thought that would spring to my mind is 'it's too good to be true - what's the catch?' Clearly there's a large one. I can't blame him for trying, but as a businessman he has made a significantly poor decision, and I wouldn't be surprised if that reflects on his business. Big risk, really. You don't flaunt your problems on TV.
Never. Ever. Ever! Having said that, I've already put information about myself in the public domain, so I'm probably as big an ars*hole as him.
