Any thoughts on likely punishment?

maybe a short ban ... 3 months. I believe that going over 100 now is an instant ban threshold. Don't quote me on that though.

One thing you can be sure off is that it will be harsh!

Somebody needs a laser jammer!

Probably a short ban and a heavy fine on the cards.

Not sure a laser jammer would work when you are timed between two points?

I agree on the instant ban threshold.

Would be interested to hear of anyone else with similar speed?

Speeding isn't big and it isn't clever!

About as much use as a jonny with a hole in it in this case!

but we all speed or have sped in the past ... i'm not talking like 35 on a 30 but the above 100 threshold ... on a private road of course!

I know I didn't buy my scoob to polish it and drive it at 30mph.

hope you don't get a ban mate ... if it's a first offence they may well be lenient.

Not me mate. I'm a good boy I am.

It was a mate of mine. I think he may already have three points on his license.

His history with petrol related items over the last few months would stop you even starting the lawn mower.

He has a Peugoet 306 which has cost him an extra

I got a 2 month ban 10 years ago for doing 97 mph on the A1 when it was still a dual carriageway hence 60 mph limit.

I thank you for your case. One good turn deserves another and I just felt like I ought to mention the fashion police having seen the recent pictures!

Your features don't offend me mate. It was the fashion police that put the boot in 10 years ago not me. Sorry if I have opened some old wounds!

In the paper at the weekend was a story about a driver in a Porche 911, clocked at 173 mph on the M25  . He got off on a technicality as the police couldn't keep up with him and lost sight of the car for a few minutes  so they couldn't prove it was him driving or even that it was the same car.
So is he lucky he got off, or lucky that he drives a car that can out run the police?
