Driving Day - Porsche 911 Turbo

Drove one of these today on a driving day and got to say it was a lot more refined than the 1 but I didn't get the same "feeling" of power..... maybe it was just that you notice the lag on the single turbo 1 and when it hits you, you feel the torque?!?.... the twin turbos of the porsche probably fill in the lag of the bigger turbo and side by side you would see a difference but I didn't get a 'wow' factor like I did when I first got in the 1!!
The response seemed to be quite tame and certainly 'felt' no quicker to pick up than the 1....I was waiting for something exciting to happen a lot of the time as I came out of the bends but it was just a smooth surge all the way through the range. I'd heard people saying they were unpredictable when provoked but I didn't get that feeling, I wasn't driving cautiously either and the track was damp..... might go and see if it had the right turbos in it and it wasn't a "Redline special"!!!
Anyone else driven one of these or owns/ed one? Be interested to see whether you agree or disagree... Overall, I'd be a tad disappointed if I had splashed out £100k on one of these.
