Number plate screws...

I obtained an unsightly crack in my front number plate, obviously from a stone or something.
Anyways, I bought a new one and decided to fit it.
The original plate was fitted with white two plasticy\rubbery screws. Of course they both snapped when removing the plate leaving the buggers stuck in the slots...
Anyone know what these screws are or how I can get them out?
I've had to stick the new one on, although, the sticky pads are really thick and makes the plate stick out as if it's attached to the end of a broomstick (maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but annoying none-the-less).
