#237 SC04BEEHi...it's taken a while but I've made it at last. I've had #237 for 9 years with work and other crap restricting the car to just 24500 miles.... Happily that's all changed so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a garage where I could get the cobwebs dusted off by mechanics who care ....?? I'm in methley near "classy" cas( Yorkshire). Thanks
Re: #237 SC04BEE you have had 9 years and not driven her?
Re: #237 SC04BEENo. I bought the car with 4500 miles on it and have only managed 1500 miles in the last 5 years..however I've more time now hence the garage request.its been to Goldens but I'd prefer a recommendation.Where do you have yours looked after ?
Re: #237 SC04BEEHad mine 9 months and not due a service yet .
But always took my old scoobs to h d c subaru at Hebden Bridge . Howard there is very good . Heard Richard Henry motorsport at Bradford are very good . So will be one of them .has your car been sorn most of time then ?
Re: #237 SC04BEENo..I had it on sorn for a year but just not used it. Every time I went to it the battery was flat.seems to be a common problem looking at some of the posts... That and knocking rear struts. So have decided to give her some Tlc.... I will give those guys a call. Thanks
Re: #237 SC04BEEI would recommend Adam and Jamie at Autotecnica in Buxton, (nearly 5 hr round trip for me but worth it) great service every time
it is better to have had a wr1 and lost it than never to have one at all.
Re: #237 SC04BEEThanks Chris. I will give them a bell. I reckon about an hour from me and a nice place for a day out while they give the car a once over. Cheers
Re: #237 SC04BEEYour welcome mate.yeh nice place to wander , plenty of places for a coffee!

Re: #237 SC04BEEAll booked in with for Monday. First impression was good. Thanks
Re: #237 SC04BEEWith Autotechnica.......and a day around Buxton
Re: #237 SC04BEEWon't go wrong there, I did a 4 hour round journey to take mine there
Re: #237 SC04BEEWas a 3 hour round trip but well worth it for the drive there alone.....wood head pass and beyond. Jamie and Adam spot on. And yes silver sonic the battery was underpowered.....passed the day in and around Buxton, complete with a view of the largest unsupported dome in Europe....larger than the Royal Albert Hall ..... In Buxton..I kid you not
Re: #237 SC04BEEgood to meet you mate car is a credit to you.
glad you got battery issue clarified. true to my word went straight home and lowered mine 20mm looks better now had been set way too high, spotted a broken drop link so good job i did.
Re: #237 SC04BEEAdam mentioned I will need to invest in a pair of rear BC ? Coilovers as mine are friar tucked....might need to pick your brains on fitting/ settings mate
Re: #237 SC04BEESo did they look after your car then while it was there???
Mines booked in on 24th for the works..... Belts, plugs, oils etc... Will have a walk into Buxton and surrounding area with my camera....
Re: #237 SC04BEEYes. I got there for 9 and Jamie dropped me off in Buxton(garage is a couple of miles outside town) and picked me up when the car was ready which was 4 ish. Had a full service and cam belt replacement..good service and £reasonable
