newbieHi Everyone,
Just a quick hello, just joined the site now in search of wr1 over the next few weeks sold my car to family member waiting for cash. m3 convert e46 sad to see go but 4 doors better than 2. ha ha. lot more practicle as i now have a baby son. cheers jambo
Hi jambo !
Welcome to the zoo ! Surprised you wanna move to a 4d. I also got a 4d when we got Osama Bin Torrekens but recently (he's just 6) figured that this is the moment I could still enjoy a 2d coupe. When he's 14, it might be a bit harder to sit him in the back of a 911 or a 650Ci. Hence why I got an Evo 9 now
Welcome Jambo
the 2 choices for me were M3 e46 second hand or new WR1- ish guess which won 2007 BMW M5

Maybe you want to consider an Evo 9 FQ380 instead.
There is a member here who's got one for sale (Spike "THE LEGEND" Mike XXX). It's 3 months old, FQ320, black and has received a brake upgrade and has been remapped by the former mapper of the Ralliart WRC team. Thing has 380bhp and 365lbft now. Understand he wants a Shelby Mustang. Think he sells for something like 25K, which is a real bargain considering the car with mods was about 32-33K.
Hi Jambo .....ur not the one from Hollyoaks??....
Take ur time in the search for the 1 mate.....best go for one which is standard if u can.
Hey Jambo,
Sounds like u need a ix 30k and she;s yours You wont regret getting either a scoob or an evo Both excellent cars Crash bang wollop!!
True. If you like a car to be hassle-free motoring: get a scoob. If you approach every trip to the supermarket like a rallystage, get the Evo.
wr1Thanks for the warm welcome,
Ive taken the evo out for test drives love the car but for every day car a bit stiff and rigid, must say its got to be the wr1 but i havent test drove one yet. kt greens have 1 in i'm thinking of going for a drive in that, its up for 20995 33k i would preferably want a low miler, just e-mailed peak performance they have one due in. wr1 owners are they a comfortable every day use car. cheers jambo
did 1700 miles in scotland last month, no back aches or like, and a lot of the roads were very twisty, and a bit bumpy
comfortthats alot of miles in such a short space of time nice to no that you didnt get aches and pains.
cheers jambo
Re: wr1
Re: comfort
Used to drive an STi with same suspension as the WR1. Drove back from Finland mid september (see "Road Trip" treads). 2000 miles on 2.5 days. Only stopped to take petrol really or take a ferry. Drove all the time otherwise, didn't have any issues. If you're after a car to much lots of miles in good comfort... You might wanna consider a Merc S-class, not a scoob or Evo though
That may be because you have a lot of body padding 2007 BMW M5
