Hi Duncan, and welcome to the site, was good to "try" and chase you round Cadwell yesterday ! sounds a good spec, is this based on a UK 2.5 STi?
- yep UK STi 2.5 STi
Was using yesterday as a shakedown for the tyres and suspension in prep for Knockhill Time Attack next week so trying to get aggressive and braver with the car. Is yours UK or Spec C? Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

UK STi too, with 3in RCM exhaust, remap etc brakes are standard and held up OK, but need 18's a AP's I think
Have you looked into Performance Friction Discs and pads using the std calipers?
They work out at about 1/3 the price of AP's and have done the job perfectly for me at Snetterton, Silverstone, Nurburgring and Cadwell.... left me some money to spend elsewhere Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

hmm i have considered this, but think i want AP's this time, although i did the the PFs opn my evo and was impressed. decisions decisions !!
CadwellHi Duncan,
Forget my comment on "was it you". You did pass me a few times. No, a lot of times. Sod it all the time. Nice looking Scoob and looks like a good spec for the track, love the graphics.
just think it gives you Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

Re: Cadwell
Its mine and my wife's daily driver too so have had to keep it girlie and children friendly for the moment unfortunately. The weird thing is that I still get approx 25mpg on average driving and over 30mpg on long runs such as down to the ring Graphics were designed by me and applied by JD Signs in Downham Market - top guys there. mapped by Zak at Mocom Racing.
Should be flying by the end of Thursday with new injectors and boost restored to previous levels. Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

Heard the name on s/net before, More to be done Does it need it ..... looks like you passed our slower members several times 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
The speed I had yesterday was mainly from cornering and quite a bit of experience on track.
I am competing in Time Attack at Knockhill next week so am up against some massively powerful cars so more power is needed to keep in touch Not looking for the world, power wise, but 400 bhp /450 lb/ft would be useful Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

Would'nt it just What settings do you have the exe-tc set to ? We've got them aswell be could to hear feedback from someone else who has them fitted. 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
on the road I use 15 from soft if the girls are out in the car, 20 is just me
Used 30 from soft (10 from hardest) yesterday all round and it seems spot on. Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

Exe-tc fitted ours at there premises in Exeter, they set them for everyday use at 12 from soft front and rear, but it seems to make the whiteline arb's droplinks knock slightly, so tried them at a harder setting, and it seems to improve but the obviously the ride is firmer, but still fiddling with them. 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
I dont use whiteline ARB's - with the exe-tc's there is no need as the body roll is minimal. What I may do at some point is fit the roll centre raising kit that will reduce body roll further but remain to be convinced whether it is necessary yet.
20 clicks on the road for me is perfect without being too harsh. I think 15 clicks is about the same softness as std STi springing (maybe a little more soft) but with better control and it seems to settle quicker on bumpy roads. They have been on a week now and all in all I love them Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

do you think i need them?
are you running std sti suspension?

you mean prodrive springs on std STi suspension?
whiteline ARB's would flatten it off in the corners for sure. Have you had your geometry set up? I have found that makes the biggest difference in handling for very little money. Certainly the best VFM mod I have done handling wise. Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

yep prodrive springs on standard suspension. actually the car handled just fine other than that one corner but i did like to come over that crest rather quick and stand on the brakes before it and chuck it a bit sideways LOL ask Fraser (houdini) he drove it and said it handled really well, and boy can he drive doesnt feel like it needs geometry doing, having owned an Evo I'm sure it's set up well at the moment!! maybe i'll try the whiteline kit next
What are the geometry settings you have at the moment?

no idea mate, it was sorted along with new tyres and pads all at the same time before i collected it about 3k miles ago...whatever it is it works, i'll find out what settings they used
Thanks for the kind words, Dan. Actually I'm crap - I just can't see over the steering wheel and just guess when to turn, so I never have any fear Truth be told - thank you very much for letting me drive your car. Considering that I only intended to be a passenger for the day it was a real treat to get behind the wheel, and both Easytrack and yourself really made my day ALSO..... Hi Duncan! A very warm welcome indeed, and good luck for Knockhill. That used to be my old stomping ground and still a favourite track of mine. Your car looked extremely well prepped and looked very good handling through the esses. I spent a fair amount of time watching you go round and had a quick question - Were you in 3rd gear for the mountain or 2nd? Also, your line through the esses looked very similar to mine. Were you holding that at max revs in 3rd or had you changed to 4th? Cheers!
Hi Houdini
I was in 3rd for the mountain (spinning over the crest) and held in 3rd right into the wooded section. I tried changing to 4th but it didnt feel right or offer any advantage in time (in fact the opposite). Thanks for the compliments - power has been upped today so all prepared and ready for Knockhill ... bring it on Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

same as me, i started in second up the mountain and eventually found 3rd better. found i hit the top of the revs in 3rd by the next bend and wanted a bit more before braking, but going into 4th just meant coming straight back for 3rd again
