HID's ballast location?

Hi chaps,

I've got the HID's, high and low, from Scoobynet GB and wanted to find best location for ballast boxes. Be grateful for any info.

Mine are in the big empty space behind the spotlights. They're up against the inner wall of the space tyrapped onto something, forget what. There's an easy route up to the back of the bulbs and they don't get in the way of anything.

Only concern is that this area gets well wet when you drive through puddles. The ballasts are meant to be water tight but one failed after about 18 months and when I took the lid off to look it was all damp inside.

The other 5 are OK (I'm such a tart I did the spotlights too.....) and the replacements been fine.
