You heard of Matt from TRL? Seems to get great reviews/feedback.

Sets up map on rollers then fine-tunes on the road.

from what I hear/see his mapping sessions are ALL day affairs and alot of people having very long days as he does not let you go untill perfect.

Same way mine was done...Started on the rollers then driven by the mapper back on the roller then driven by me back on the rollers for final figs...09:00 start and at 15:30 we were just finishing up...

I have not Spike. Sounds good, exactly how it should be done.

There is a few around getting a lot of praise. Zak from Mocom is another one. Personally i would not go to someone with relative 'few miles under the belt' but that's not to say they will not do it as thoroughly and as good as Bob Rawle, Andy Forrest, Pat herborn etc...

He's been doing oit over 20yrs apparently - mainly evo's i assume.

I will be asking if he does scoobs and If anti-lag can be enabled on the ECU as Ive been asked by 1 or 2  as he uses ECUTEK

Powerstation told me no more than 1.4 BAR as the STI UK engines aren't as strong as the Jap specs. Is this the case, or are they being too cautious? I'm sure I've read people with TD05-18G turbos are mapped to 1.6 BAR in the mid range?

Cheers

The WR1 (mine included) was mappecd to peak at 1.65 and tail off to 1.4.

I'm sure most of the 1's mapped that I know of run around the same setup  Not sure about normal STI's????

Was that a Defi gauges 1.65 BAR, or what you saw on the ECUTEK mapping software? How long was 1.65 held for, until around 6K?

Cheers

I asked if it was on Defi's because they over read slightly (0.1 BAR on mine). So you were probably hitting 1.55 BAR. That's still quite high from what I heard about VF35 turbos!

Here's my graph again. You've got 50bhp more than me at 4,000 rpm! I'll be interested to see what I get at WRC Tech though.

Do have a knock/cocklink fitted? After seeing the spike of Det caused by a faulty neutral position switch (when car was mapped at Powerstation), I would recommend one for everyone @

ScoobyDan had one fitted bit the installer forgot to earth it.... Apparently the engine was running smoothly NOT! It could have been an issue if it had be left undiscovered for much longer. Make sure you test the knocklink when installed.

I'd sooner identify a problem and sort it out before the engine blows, then I can spend the 2.5K saved on an engine rebuild on mods
