All software is free to download from what I can see,you just need to buy a cable that runs between your ECU and laptop.

Been reading lots about it and it seems that most tuners"may"start using this software at a reduced rate to the ECUTEK mapping at 550 a pop!!!

I met up with some people at teh weekend and did some logging on teh evo-seems the "mapping" received is identical to the map somebody got at WRC!!! Basically just up the boost!!
The cars are also running VERY "rich"even after the "re-map"

No alterations to fuelling or the MIVEC where there are apparently alot of gains to be had. I was also advised that this is a better way of doing things and a boost controller is not essential as the current ECU can cope with dealing with the boost!!

The chap in question has downloaded maps from alot of vehicles including the latest 360 which is running 1.65-1.7bar boost!!

Apparently the MIVEC has been remapped on 360 to come on boost earlier and increase mid range torque!

The boost can be lowered to 1.3 to get the results we currently have @ 380bhp!! so therefore running 1.5bar should be able to see well up into the 400 figures!!! And so far NO issues!!!

Seems we are sold alot of items by tuners that are not essential,so that they can do very little work with the biggest financial rewards(i think we all knew this anyway).

Im very tempte to get the hardware/cables and have a good look into what I can do with the EVO.
Also availible for the scoob.

I will be chatting to the above fella a bit in the near future and I feel and will be trying to get my head around this before I attempt blowing up the EVO

I thought this was a WR1 forum, lol

I got my car mapped by Rich at Powerstation. I think it cost

Spike,

The laptop has arrived and I'm currently configuring it! (Norton Internet Security 2007 is being troublesome  )

For info:

I bought the 'universal' lead, which means I'll be able to 'plug-into' Subarus and Mitsubishis. :thumb:

...Just awaiting delivery!

Lee.

Spike,

Yep, it's an airbox remover. Here's a picture:

http://www.nucleusnetworks.co.uk/scooby ... emover.jpg

It cost $45, delivery from the states cost $79!

It did nothing for power, but the turbo whistle sounds louder as does the re-circ dump valve

Only ever used WRC(silverstone) and Engine Advantages in Essex with the mitsi.

May pay a visit to WRC early march if you fancy it?

WRC sounds good. Give us a PM with the date. I could ask a few mates as well? Various cars - Evo VI, S2000, GTI-R

Cheers

Don't you have Auto-Focus!

Thanks...I must buy myself an airbox lid that I can modify without fear of making a serious error!

Dremmel - cant go wrong -

Or drill 3 holes to act as corners of triange and hand cut with a hack saw blade.
The likes of John banks have completely cut out the top of the lid . Apparently 80% of the gains Indution kits and costs
