Prodrive exhaust help.....

Hi all , need some advice here
The last owner of my 1 seems to have changed both the centre pipe and back box from the original prodrive to a hayward and scott centre and back box.

I didn't notice immediately as it looks almost identical to the prodrive (size wise) but clearly without the prodrive marking on the tail pipe.

Having look through the recipets I have found the ones for the reaplcement parts but no sign of any remap.

Question is would it have needed a remap ?
I may return it to the original prodrive parts but another question if I do will it again need a remap?

Your help and advice would be most appreciated.....

most people who have a PPP backbox usally change it for something that releases the burble more and a top choice is H&S. Unless you want it quieter i would leave the current set up on. Prodrive back boxes can sell from £100 - £150 all depending how lucky your are, which will help to fund the next mod.........

just the conclusion I came to also , about changing it back that is.

Thanks for the info on the H&S I'd never encounted them before.

Cheers :D

i am having my exhaust changed on monday to a blue flame, removing one of the cats. they will run it on the dyno to see if it needs a tweek. if you have a rolling road nearby you could ask them to see if its had a remap as the first remap costs more due to software licence, once this is done its just labour costs. (the licence is put on the ecu) it costs roughly £500 more for the licence!!!! also some remaps are not the best and it is worth having someone with half a brain making sure that (if its been mapped) its safe and not too lean!!!
