You will already have the option of 2 maps on the Simtek (either boost or fuel).

no

The simtek already has a boost controller.

All you are doing is doubling up for no benefit.... or, if you start messing with the settings in a sep boost controller, blowing your engine up.

Just took a look at your blog around Cadwell, I take it your scooby isn't standard?? You monstered those elises, nice driving, with a passanger as well, adds a few pounds to the car!! Is the graph on the blog the power for the car you are driving round Cadwell?

Just out of curiosity, what camera did you use and what mounts did you use as it's a decent picture. I've looked at the bullet cameras from a few different suppliers but am not sure which one works well...

Cheers

Are you embarrassed to mention them ? :?

I presume you mean 'here' but that's besides the point.... you seem to be shy of mentioning who is doing this conversion for you - it's just coming across to me as one of two things; either this is all hot air trying to make you look big and is not happening, or actually there is a lot of doubt as to what you are building at the moment and maybe work or budgeting hasnt started (hence why all the questions)

If I was having work done by enginetuner I would be proud to mention them and would be seeking advise from them as a first point of call. After all why would you trust people on a forum rather than someone you are obviously trusting in excess of £10-15k for a 600bhp build to.

I am confused.

I speak to Martyn and Alan down there regularly and they are both top blokes and seem to know their stuff. JD seems to sing their praise often enough.

The standard location for the subaru is limited in size so you can only really get a certain sized turbo in there. Also the route that the air goes into the turbo is a bit crap and can obstruct it.

With a twisted kit, it moves the turbo further away from the gearbox housing where it can foul and allows you to fit a bigger turbo. This does need different up-pipe and down pipe though so the cost can be quite high for the perceived extra.

Having said that, my std position turbo does okay :)
