when i set off in the morning or if the cars been parked for a while when i first brake there is a "crack" out of the brakes as if they were jammed, and sometimes if braking while the wheel are angled to a corner?

i assume this is just the pads sticking in the caliper a tad. i get it also but its more noticeable if for ex. i reverse out my drive and apply the brakes therefore settling the pads at the rear of the caliper (but only at 5 mph so cant feel much) then drive up the road and then clunk as the pads shift forward in the caliper.

there is not much clearance, but probably enough to make/feel a clunk :? ?

You washed the car yesterday ? Or mark it with wet brakes ?

I get that after I washed the car. Pads rusted to the discs. (or frozen)
