Best Component Speakers ???

Postby rally_driver » Mon Feb 27, 2006 9:10 pm

Thinking of upgrading the speakers in the front but not sure which is the best choice & how easy they are to replace ! Has anyone upgraded & how easy was it to remove door panel/ swap speakers etc ? !!
Any advice is much appreciated before I start pulling my doors to bits!! :)

I have Genesis componants and they sound great but they need to be run with an amp, so have a Genesis amp aswell, also it pays to get the doors sound deadned with dynomat other wise quality speakers are not worth fitting :D
Do you still have the standard headunit aswell, not very good either, so a Alpine or similar headunit would be good aswell....... :D

Which set of genesis speakers have you got? I've got a set of P16s sitting at my feet waiting to be installed. Have you installed the tweeters in the stock locations?

Sorry for pinching your thread

here you go fella

http://www.dynamat.com/products_automot ... ction.html

or fleabay

http://search.ebay.co.uk/dynamat_W0QQfc ... tZ9QQfnuZ1

if you want to fit quality ICE then this stuff is a must
as for someone to fit well ........yellow pages

tbh mate maybe best left to someone who know how to fit the dynamat,
as for collars in the door mounts mdf is what most use you should have a template with the speakers (if collar is needed?)

to have my ICE supplied and fitted cost

:lol2:

Pops got a point (for once) though... Who the hell is spending money on a stereo in a scoob when you can't here anything except engine and transmission noises anyway !

I cannot ever recall switching the radio in ours on.

If you want music, spend the money on a LOUD exhaust !
