As anyone had an after marker sun roof fitted?
How much would this cost? Is it possible to have an electric one fitted?

My P1 had a subaru electric sunroof kit fitted to it I dont know if they do these for new shape scoobs but worth a try, it was the nuts.
Ant,
Had an my99 uk classic, Then got P1 (0329), Then got a brand new WR1 (092), Then got a my00 UK Classic, Then got another P1 (0488), Now Sold.
Cool Ant. My head is missing out on a few tanning rays!
Check the structure.
It might be that the STi's etc have a reinforced cage to prepare the car for rally conversion. Possible that fitting a sunroof mans cutting through important reinforcements. Only a guess though.
I think this would seriously affect the strength of the car - someone with some technical knowlede will probably tell you though
Yes I would AGREE but to be sure it would be better to ask someone with far superior insight to this equation than us Marky some input please 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
SUNROOFI have a windscreen company , we fit many after market sunroofs to customers cars and for main dealers.
To be completley honest i would advise you to never fit any sunroof to a car if you intend keeping it for long time, as after 5 years generally your problems start with seals electric motors and mechanisms. You also have to remove centre struts on certain models and relocate interior lights. If you really do want to fit a sunroof to your car always go for a top make which offer long gaurantees upto 10 years and a spares back up, as we have customers come to us reqiuring parts for sunroofs which are no longer manufactured this becomes a real headache often the problem is only cured by fitting a new larger sunroof to the vehicle.
Looking at rather poor photo i have of the rally car being prepared at Prodrive i don't think there's anything in the way to stop one being fitted but i guess the fitting of one would have a negative effect on the structural rigidity of the car.
Too petty to be a traffic warden...
