Any clutch changes with the WR1s?

Postby WR1 Bro » Thu Nov 09, 2006 3:48 pm

I'm told mine is worn out and needs replacing. I'm a little surprised at only 23k miles. Anyone else replaced theirs? Did you go the upgrade route?

Rob did replace his - but with OME, not an upgrade I believe.

My scoob was sold at 90k, origional clutch. With evos however, I budget for 1 clutch per year, approx 8k miles  Currently got an Alcon one in there at the moment, but recently drove a friends evo 6 which has an HKS one installed and i'd have to say its much smoother to operate and has a better feel overall. Will be going down the HKS route next time round.

Speak to David at API engines and ask for the Excedy Organic one. I bought one on a group buy for
Engine: FMIC with K&N CAIK, Oil Catch Can & MD321H turbo. Next mod: TBD
Brakes: Turbo Groove Discs, Pagid RS29's & Braided Hoses.
Suspension: Whiteline front and rear ARB's, ALK

Twin plate HKS with lightened flywheel - takes a bit of getting used to.

Never read anything into whatever Bro implies, and he is not implieing (sp) what you think. I think

Steve, I would say it's a good thing your clutch has been replaced, I am suprised you seem upset that it has been?
