IS THIS NORMAL

Postby Gixer600 » Tue Dec 12, 2006 11:48 am

Not sure how long this has been like this.

But last night pulled up on the drive and noticed as i was looking at the WR1 that there was a massive hole above the number plate

This is where i assume the rear number plate light would be

Sooooo question is has this happened to anyone else and more importantly where the hell do i get one from.

Obviously cant drive her in the dark until it is sorted

Then the second point

This surely can not be a standard finish. Is there some kind of lining or skin that is missing

The hole above the number plate is normal. this is one of the reason I like the larger reg plate. IMHO it just looks better and covers the gap you are showing in your photo.

Not sure where you think there should be a lining but all looks normal to me.

I'm also not sure why you can't drive the car at night? There should be two bulbs illuminating the reg. This isn't clear from the photos.

ok cool

I had never seen the massive hole before and i pulled up behind my WR1 last night and was concerned thinkin the rear number plate light should have been there

Also i have never seen a boot finished like that. Normally you get some kind of lining covering that metal part.

But thats cool.

Sorry to all that maybe a little confused as to why i posted. I have never owned a scooby before and some of the finishin i am not used to.

So thanks in advance for being patient and thanks for the reply

I often cut myself when washing the car on this rather roughly cut hole.

If you haven't seen this hole before I suspect you don't lie down under your car and polish your exhaust like a small sub population on here do??

only had the car 3 weeks And bathed once.

So i am still learning and finding things.

Had an R32 before so finding holes i am not used to.

Seem to be doing a hell of a lot of reading on this site trying to find out as much as i can about the car. U guys seem so clued up about this car. Its kind of scary. But i guess that's why this site is here

Ask away with anything. Trust me, I've already asked all the stupid questions.
