Wheel corrosion

:( Does anyone else find that the WR1 wheels seem to 'pit' too easily with the brake dust deposits? I am having to use 'wonder wheels' on them every week to keep them looking anything like tidy. Surely this should not be neccessary on wheels of this supposed quality. Any info/tips would be appreciated.

I did find that they needed cleaning nearly every week.

A lot of people don't like using wonder wheels as they feel it is too acidic. Iused it for a couple of years without a problem but i don't bother as i've found a much better way of keeping the wheels clean.

Spend about an hour cleaning the wheels, get them as clean as you can. Use wonder wheels if need be. Then wash the wheels off with clean water and allow to dry.

Once dry use a good quality wax such as Swissol on the wheels.

Next time you wash the wheels they will come up as new again with just a sponge and water.

No prob's with my wheels, used wonder wheels previously, but not on the WR1, they come up as new, I have used swissol shield wax on them but only the once and I normally used fairy liquid on the wheels when I wash them.

Is it me or... Once you start to use specialist wheel cleaners, the wheels seem to get dirtier quicker ??
