Removal of the pre-cat in the up pipe, change the DP cat for a higher flowing one and a remap to suit with a bit of extra boost added in.

Think of it as a higher spec PPP.

I think they added a 3-port boost solenoid as well for better boost control, whereas standard STI PPP has 2-port.

...and don't forget the WR1 stickers - they add at least 10bhp, lol.

The current ECU is "re-mappable" usually "ECUTEK" is the system used.

Depending on what Bhp and mods you fit the current ECU is more than sufficient.

Thought all Sti's had 2 cat's, downpipe and centre section, up-pipe is already de-catted....WRX do come with the 3 cats though

PPP removes the downpipe cat for a better one and takes off the centre
section and replaces it with a de-cat stainless section

So WR1's just come with the ecu prodrive map, sports-cat downpipe, prodrive exhaust system, triple port boost solenoid, ppp fuel pump, to get that extra 11 bhp over a standard STI ppp,

Along with Prodrive lowering springs, 1mm shorter rear drop links
(according to mike woods :?) it's on here somewhere! plus the other visual stuff

and of course cornflake wr1stickers
