Vehicle Tracking Device

Guys,

Any of you have any idea if the "1" has a tracking device fitted as standard?

If not, I'd welcome any recommendations. Cheers.

Insurance due NOW and am moving from Elephant, (cos they are too pricey this year - despite being with them for the past 6 years or so). Tesco aggressively priced and if I avoid the "Value" package, I get free "business class 1" cover.

Many thanks.

I would call again as most of the time when you deal with the tracker people they don't know their arse from their elbow?

Why would your car not have a tracker when it was part of the WR1 package?

give them another call, and ask to speak to someone that knows what they're doing. i would have thought they would have all been active for the first year of ownership. with the vehicle you should havea tracker certificate IIRC. someone may want to correct me on this though.

can i ask why you are tryingto activate it? is it for insurance purposes? i know insurance co' say it's a must, and others (elephant dont give a flying f**k)

it'll cost you circa

F'ing muppets! How can they manage that? I've lost count of the amount of people that have trouble with trackers!

No idea - they even said I dont exist on the database - even after dealer sent them new owner details and everything...

Finally on Monday after 2 months I got my installation certificate - the correct one!! :) Rang them to make sure I am on the dataabse ( although I was put on temporarily when I bought my car - dont know what temporarily means )

Previous car I had a Tracker Monitor on it ( RAC Trackster competitor ) - when I sold the car I called them and faxed them the details saying I no longer own the car ( they have a form for that ). After 1 year they send me a subscription renewal form

back on topic.........

spoke to them this morning and they managed to find my car at last!

told them i wanted to activate the unit. they said i had to go for a drive so they can establish if they can "track" my location. if successful, they will send out the necessary forms. so, as long as they send them to the correct address, , we'll be sorted!

as for insurance, went with privilige at
