I probably need to consider buying a big brake kit once if fitted a bigger turbo. I'm thinking 355mm 6-pot AP's, which I know a few of you have already bought.
Where did you buy from and what are your thought's on the AP's?
Is there anyone else thinking of upgrading their brakes soon...may be we could do a group buy

I've not regretted the money I spent on the APs. Try contacting AP direct for a price. When I purchased mine there was no movement in price.

Not sure what they are selling for now.
Whatever they cost, you soon realise how good they are when you get back into a NORMAL car!

I saw a group buy on Scoobynet where 355mm they were going for £1,250 + VAT. That was for the road version, rather than race version of the calipers. Not sure what the difference is, but I'm sure they would be a lot better than the Brembo's.

£2450 included the front and rears.
Someone else can add more info here regards the road/race versions. I believe the race versions have slightly less protection and need to be stripped down regularly for cleaning. We have the road kits and they are fantastic.

Bro's price is for front and rears Anders.
Road kit is what you want, they are more than good enough. The race kits dont have dust seals on the pistons (require a bit of looking after) and have fully floating discs (nice but really rattly!)

I clocked that Bro must have had both sets done. I saw the rears for sale on the RCM web site (rears were £900). My budget won't stretch to front and rears, but I recon I'll buy a set for the front.
Mark, are they a easy to fit? I've changed discs and pads on the standard set up, I guess there's not much more to it than that?

I believe they were pretty much bolt on. Some of the protective plate behind the discs had to be trimmed down a little. I believe some people just remove it completely.

Yes, you can get slightly bigger disks for the EVO 362's I believe.

Which pads are you all running on your AP's? I've read mixed reports on DS2500's running on 6 pot AP's. Was thinking of trying EBC yellow stuff or Pagid RS29.

My APs came with DS2500. Personally I can't fault them but I do drive a like a pussy!
What mixed feedback have you heard about DS2500s?

I know what you mean about adjusting your brake foot sensitivity. I was driving a works Honda estate prior to WR1 and that had sliding calipers all around. The Brembo's seemed on / off for the first few hundred miles and the brakes weren't bedded in

You should attempt left foot braking with APs.... Pee, poo and snot all over the windscreen!

DS2500's seem fine mate.
they're fully bedded in now so will take more abus over the next couple of weeks, and will let you know how I get on.
left foot braking is also made a lot easier by the hard brake pedal feel, very easy to get the hang of

We did so many consecutive laps at silverstone and no fade what so ever, DS2500 can't fault then
I have a set of carbontecnik which will be used when the ds2500 are to replaced, got at a giveaway price, so will try anything once
