Went to a rolling road day on Saturday. But as they were not monitoring fueling or boost I did not want to run the car. Luckily Bob Rawle was at the RR and had his equipment so Bob rigged up his gear. Soon as the laptop was switched on we could see the multiplier was at 9 (should run at 16) so we knew there was a problem.
I took the car back to the company that mapped 3 days later and they checked it over The multiplier was still at 9..The mapper could not see why it had drop to 9 and could give no explanation. The ECU was reset which put the multiplier to 8 and within a mile it was back up to 16 and running ok.
It seems the ECU had froze and the ECU was just not learning. As no explanation was found for this, I am wondering if it will happen again. Have to get Bob to check it out next time he is in Bristol.
