Yep, no RS3, just the S3. Think the new ones would re-map to around 320/330bhp i think?
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...

That would be pretty cool, the new S3 doesnt really look that much different to an S-Line. If anything i prefer the older S3, at least it had slightly flared arches

Plenty if your driver has short stumpy legs like you!

I used to have fun with the S3's in the ST... the WR1 however hasnt the torque to keep up top end sadly....

Well i found this on the net.....
http://www.scoobynet.com/archive/index. ... 33937.html
Whatever it was, it was bloody fast At first I took it for granted only to find out I could not shake me off my tail. It took me full throttle to pull away, and that in 3rd gear!. I did some research yesterday when I got to work (but cannot find it now) and read that apparently they are carrying out some tests on a S3 on the M4 which is very very close to where I met this one!
Seeing my "1" ain't no slow coach, I reckon this thing must be mapped/modded to atleast 350 bhp if not more......

The WR1oc does not condone road racing.
There is never going to be much difference between a 350bhp car (with similar torque) and a 400bhp (with similar torque). I would have thought the biggest difference would come from the muppet behind the wheel.

Surely there will be difference in the power delivery depending on the way its been mapped?

Yes, there will... but I'm saying in the real world, average Joe behind the wheel, the difference in a road race (or any race) would probably come more down to the driver than the difference in power.
