My car is so clean and shiny now. I've done the whole car with a clay bar and it's as smooth and silky as a freshly shaven wotsit ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif) Teflon wax to go on now ![Thumb :thumb:](./images/smilies/thumb.gif)

good point just reminded me,i tried using that clay bar and the detailer spray, the bar kinda got deformed and seemed to stick to the car leaving streaky ,sticky bits!is that because it was too warm? do u claybar the whole car or just the ground in/mucky bits?i was planning on doing mine and giving it the old step 1,2,3 before the rr day

That means you let the paintwork get too dry. I rinse the whole car, wash a section with warm soapy water, clay bar it, wash it over again and then rinse. It takes me about 4 hours but the car looks so damn good. Until I see all the stonechips ![](./images/smilies/mad.gif) Then I use the acryllic sealent and then finally the wax. The whole job takes about 8 hours to do properly. I don't do that everytime! Usually it's just a quick wash.

I don't like the detailer spray, it's nothing more than a lubricant but it dries too quickly. Soapy water is better, trust me! Keep folding the bar so it's clean. The bar makes the paint so much smoother than just washing. I only ever use Swissol products, available from www.performanceparts4u.com or .co.uk The bloke is Paul, a top geezer. Number available on request ![Thumb :thumb:](./images/smilies/thumb.gif)

Swissol may be expensive but it looks good and it lasts for ages. I'm still using the kit I bought 14 months ago so for overall value it's unbeatable.

Cheers mate. Ive just nearly had my 1 wiped out by 2 horses runing free with cart on the back of them. They broke frre from the farmer and set of just missing me, the farmer asked if i could go after them with him. Im to nice 'get in i said' ready for round 2. they smashed into three cars before seperating between a bolard and lamp post. one ran into a feild while the otherone turned around and set of for more cars with the cart still on it, the other one followed. The farmer gave chase on foot before hijacking another car. I gave out my details as a whitness and set of back around towards home (Long story short) following a long line of damaged cars. That could have been my car, ive decided to get a treble O machine gun fixed under the bonnet incase it happens again.

bloody hell a real scary tale, glad you are ok and the car as well, sounds like there are going to be a lot of upset people due to some farmers stupidity.
