Anybody come accross a good UK Evo IX forum so far ?
Would like to see what they think of it over the Evo VIII.

Other question I have on the Evo IX: do those two small oval inlets in the front bumper have a function ?
- place to put foglights ? - cooling ducts for the brakes ?

I think the ducts are for the brakes. You could try http://www.lancerregister.com/Not sure about their views on the IX but they always seem a friendly bunch.

You moderating on there too ? Or hosting their website ? You drive an Evo ??? Anyway, seems it would be to create extra cooling for the intercooler. No confirmation if it works though.

The ducts on the front bumper are to cool the pipes to/from the intercooler. I've been on the lancerregister a few times but to be honest don't really like it - to much mine is bigger than yours rubbish. Maybe its just me though.

What a stupid forum ! You can only post like 20 posts per month, otherwise you gotta pay 36 GBP ! So you got to pay to see whether you'd want to consider an FQ340 next time rather than a scooby?? Otherwise just same forum as here, just more members, same number of posts that are of topic , but with the difference that here they're off topic because people are being friendly. There they indeed tend to want to show off the size of their ego.:down: PS: Bro', I think these guys would get along very well with the Pug' gang !

Correct fella - i've had 2 evos over the space of 3 years and done about 100 posts in total - and most of them were because of things I had to sell. Its not a nice forum at all (my model gets slated all the time) and I find if you meet an evo driver who uses mlr = knob. However, if he/she doesn't = nice person who doesn't think their car is the best thing on the planet.
One question though - Whats this fascination with all things pug ? Have I missed something?

Well... where shall I start ? Somebody posted a link onhere of some 306GTi geeks slaying the STi. Bro' went to have a look but was banned after half an hour... So one day, one of the 306 forum members posted he'd tested the new 1007 1.6 sport as replacement for his wife's 306. Started an interesting erm... 'dynamics' with the 1007 bloke slowly pooring more oil on the fire as they went along. Until they invited him to get a proper drive once, in a 306 GTi. Since the 1007 customer also had an Evo at home, I think it then ended up being sorted out at the next Evo trackday or something...

You're also managing the Pug' forum ? Or you were at the Evo meeting with your secret Mitsu ?

In summary, we (i.e. I) wound those geezers up big time ! Some of us were laughing their balls off. Next was when the guys from the www.tattooedtruckers.co.uk forum went to the 306 GTi trackday...
