I tend to stay away from the MLR (mitsi owners club forum) these days as there seems to be a lot of adverse comments about my car from 90% of the members - too expensive, unreliable, my cars faster, etc - and i dont really no why, nor do i particularly care. However, had a look on there this morning, better than working, and its seems to have gone mad. Basically a 400 owner is now looking to return his car as he feels he has been ripped off - paid

Just ignore them.... Pure jealousy if you ask me. You have paid your money for a choice of car you wanted. It is easy to slag a car and say you wouldn't buy it when they PROBABLY couldn't afford it to start with!! Here's to the element of non-FQ400 owners You will always be welcome at our meets! Did you see TOP GEAR last night? Three quality cars Porsche, Aston and BMW? Me and the wife were talking about them and making SPLIT decisions about each car. We then realised that status and asthetics were making us decide. However, if we had the required money in our hands we would start looking at other factors other than pure looks and how we rate the manufacturers names (reliability, service costs, local dealers etc etc). Maybe NON FQ400 owners would think differently if they had the money?

I'd put on my thick skin, keep the FQ400 and enjoy winding people up. Lets face it there would be NO love lost if you played the "I'm so special in my FQ400 compared to you poor people in your NON-FQ400 cars". Let them just fight amongst themselves and keep telling them how fast and much fun it is compared to any Evo on the planet.

Ahh, sensible people/discussion - thats better. All that i'm bigger, better and faster than you nonesense just bores the crap out of me - doesnt matter what youve got there'll always be someone bigger, better and faster - so get over it, knobs I had a 5 series a number of years ago and loved both the car and the ownership experience thats why I keep veering towards another one. 911s are fabulous vehicles but it'd have to be a Turbo and I just haven't got that sort of money at the moment. Tbh at the moment i'm thinking of getting shot of the evo and getting a new house then in a year or so seeing what takes my fancy.

Here's an idea... since you don't want to do that... give your password to Gangsta... he could fill that role for you with arrogance and ease!

Drove 911 (997) S with sports chrono pack a while ago. It's as much fun as an old turbo I reckon. Give it a try and take it for a drive !

Is 997 the latest 911? I tried the previous 911 to the current model... I didn't fit in it. I felt very sad until I sat in the new 911.... loads of leg and belly (put this in before skinny boys Spike and Swede) room. Just need to wait for a good price 4S to come my way!

Yes, previous model was 996. I didn't quite like that one. Too plastic-y inside for such an expensive car. And the 997 is indeed more roomy (my problem is headroom). Wouldn't do 4wd though. I like a 911 to be light and brutal.

To be an everyday car I would want the 4S. I agree with you though about being brutal.

The 911 S on Top Gear last night was very special - completely whipped the M6 and Aston despite having over 100bhp less. Well priced too.

accidentally leave your password on here and the gangsta gremlin might pay a visit to the Mid Life Crisis Register FQ300 -- can't afford a 320 or a 340 and dream about a 400. hence having the largest shoulder chips MR320 ... extra MR after the FQ makes this driver twice a bellend MR340 ... managed to secure a better credit agreement and have also listended to clarkson - the all knowing sage of cars who decided to send his Ford GT back because the alarm kept going off. Yes you know everything about cars that's why you are prepared to throw away your warranty and modify to get 400bhp and then after a year when you sit down and compare yourn upgrade charges together with the repair charges you'll find you should have gone and bought an 400 in the first place. Although more than likely you were scared at having the big red light on the credit computer going off and saying REJECT REJECT REJECT when you attempted to try and purchase the daddy mobile FQ400. Obviousely that isn't my opinion but I think it would stir up some nice comments!

Jaycee's scoob sounded pretty impressive when I heard it at the RR day. It's just a slightly too popular colour. (and he can't drive it).
I'm looking forward to getting my Hakkapeliitta 4's bolted to POESY's car when he comes over and gives that thing a blast on the sea !

having driven Poesys car last week I can comfortably say that the only thing that gets bolted in that car is your inner organs to your spine when the power kicks in.
CRAZY CRAZY torque delivery. You weld your foot and whilst nothing is happening you think, this isn't too bad, but then it bites and you realise you aren't steering but instead holding on.
Def would consider buying one of these. Very easy to drive.

Couldn't have been mate ... if it were him you would have ended up in a field in Bruntingthorpe somewhere.
