409 remap mondayWell 409 is off for new remapping tomorrow andy forrest at edinburgh
hope she will be sorted heard he is good, not sure if its on rollin road or on road anyone know the best way?
It's on the road mapping mate,I was out with andy for about 45 mins and you do 2 power runs at the end to get your bhp and lbf figures
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...
mappinThanks Clark what was your thought on the way the map was done what was your end bhp/torque and was it your first map on this car
Chip-it every body on Sidc Scottish scoobies use Andy F .I have used him twice once on a uk turbo classic and once on the Jdm Sti i have know and if i were to do any mods back to him again

mappin 409Thanks Dipsy for your feedback i was pretty sure of this guy heard good things but good to hear from people that have had work done, because the last remap was rubbish with det just as well checked out at teg sport last week but they could not get into map to sort out not retarding enough
was not sure if rollin road wass better or on the road
I got 349bhp and 345lbf and that was with a H&S downpipe and RCM induction kit (plus uprated spark plugs etc).
That was my first and only map the car will be getting, feels perfect now and how the car should have been when it left the factory IMO. Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...
that is really good power clark. How much were you charged for his handywork?? 98 DC2 Integra type R
00 Audi TT 180 Coupe 03 DC5 Integra typeR 02 Alfa spider V6 01 Honda s2000 03 Audi TT 225 roadster 02 Porsche Boxster S 06 porsche Cayman 04 Subaru Impreza STi WR1 Now: 07 BMW Z4M
all you need to know mate....
Andy Forrest is doing it. It will gain 10bhp just by him breathing on it buddy!! He is one of the most prolific and knowledgeable people in the scooby tuning scene and knows his onions for sure. Money well spent and no reason to doubt anything. Let us know your mods and results...all the best.
for sure....just pushes the standard conserative map closer to the limits. Not sure how much is to be had but some for sure.
Although you will be spending money to re-flash the standard ECU i.e. EcuTek which is probably a few hundred quid...which can't be changed without having another go. Much better if you can to change breathing like exhaust and intake stuff to maximum gains for the re-map. Little bit of a waste of dosh IMO, get other stuff done at same time to get the best out of it.
http://andyforrestperformance.co.uk/index2.html .Here's Andy's website he does the remaps on the road with him wearing his det can's and afr meter up the exhaust and you driving .

whatever it was on his website, 500+ Vat or something like that? Was more power than I was expecting but Andy said it runs very well, even ran cooler than most WR1's that come in too? Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...
I would of thought the Wr1 would of been cheaper to remap is there not a ecutek licence on the ecu with Prodrive using the ecutek software ???
