Hi I am looking for a clean wr1 asap I have 2 weeks to find one as I've put a deposit on a hawkeye ppp but have just become aware of the engine issues! I wish I was pointed to the site earlier as I've missed a few stunning examples!
Please pm me your cars details and contact number ( must be below 30000 miles)!
Thanks James

Not sure you will find many below 30k mate.
Why below 30k just out of interest?

Generally the bodywork will be in better condition and obviously the car has done less work.

Thats not always the case tho, You could have a wr1 with 20000 miles and it could be a rough as fook,

True, yours only had 15,000 miles on it and it was a right shite bucket!!
Correct me if I am wrong but didn't you do about 12,000 miles on a track in it? You blew the engine 3 times, the suspension had to be replaced twice and the gearbox only had forward and reverse.
Infact, I am still unsure to this day how you excavated it from Tescos meat aisle, you must have come off that roundabout about 90mph to do that much damage...
Still...You did well with the sale, £10k... he must have been well retarded to miss the fact that Tesco's had added it to their range and barcoded it!

I bought mine with 12K on the clock and it was a complete mess, windscreen was cracked, front end was peppered with chips and 3 wheels were kerbed! It's all things that are easily fixed though so maybe keep that in mind, if you're willing to spend a bit of money to have a bit of paintwork done and wheels refurbed you could end up with a cracker - mine now looks like it's rolled off the production line
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...

Ive decided the car definately needs to be standard!! I would consider a car thats had a remap from a well known company/person. But exhaust, air filter etc has to be OEM.
I think when it comes to prices you have got to be realistic (Thats if you want to sell) All car prices have taken a big drop!! Obviously the WR1 will hold onto its price better than the standard models.

Happy hunting for a standard 1 !
Just look out for fresh spanner work on nuts bolts etc, may be a modded turned back to standard, ask on here about history regarding what ltd ed no. you look at.
