Insurance quote?Looking for some help here regarding insurance......
Had a quote through for renewal. Although not bad (just the wrong side of £500) i'm thinking i could do better? In terms of the car, as the name suggests it's a WRX, not a true 1 (forgive me! ) Have already tried Keith Michaels who couldn't compete....... Any ideas experts?..... oh & my renewal's due on 22nd!
I got my best quote through Go compare strangely. Admiral came out top and none of the specialists could get remotely close and that was with all mods declared
Greenlight by far the cheapest for me like for like on mods aswell, plus £45 per track day if needed !
2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
Admiral on price comparison sites seem to be coming out quite low at the moment for WR1's - not sure on the WRX though.
Lunacy is a right foot away.
NOT ADRIAN FLUX - RUBBISH!
Try Elephant - If you speak to them and get chatting to them ect and general banter - tend to drop the price . My quote was 1670 but got it down to 1000.93 with breakdown cover. All good
hi timgot mine with liverpool victoria(LVE)£370 with limited miles of 5000,hope ur all good.
it is better to have had a wr1 and lost it than never to have one at all.
Mines with LV too, Think its around £750 fully Comp, I should phone em as its tucked away in a garage nowadays, might save enough for some caps
Nobody told me it was this brutal !
Insurance quote? Thanks to all for the tips, really appreciated.
busy chasing them up as we speak!
GI went with Adrian flux and they covered upgrades also
Yep, agree with this. If you trot out the banter, you tend get all the discounts like "New customer discount" "On line discount" "Vouchers" etc Just be nice, I find the "crawly crawly bum lick approach works well and you can slide in your mods at the end. They want your money so give it over with a shmooze. What have you got to loose.
F£600 fully comp no claims protected and upgrades covered
They can't be that bad
that's seems a tad high? I was quoted £600 fully comp with protected no claims I told them to go fourth and multiply. The car has covered around 1500 miles this year, going to spend winter in the garage, I have full no claims, I am old ( 47 ) I have full no claims on my van, I drive my girlfriends car and have done so for 14 years.... There taking the piss..... I was told the rise in price was due to high volume of claims being made?? My reply was, make the claimants pay for the increase, don't penalise us / me for their fooking mistakes in fact insurance premium should be paid once and rolled over year to year, reduced to suit age and driving experience and an increase to cover cost of inflation. If you make a claim you pay the premium again along with any additional charges. Rant over
Insurance quote?Hi folks,
Update on the insurance - Now fully covered inc mods with Admiral on a multi car deal. Really pleased with the price and service so all's well with the world again! Couple of interesting points though: Taking the wife off the policy made no difference to the price - (she's had a claim & got 3 points on her licence! ) The multi car policy was cheaper than insuring just the Scooby??? And thanks again to all who posted with their help and advice, you pulled out all the stops when i'd given myself almost no time to sort this - appreciated.
Glad you got sorted. Admiral were great for me giving me a substantial saving over everyone else.
Having my fiancée on my policy brought id down loads but never enquired about multi car so thats something il look at next time around if that was cheaper than just the scoob. Interesting Thanks for that Tom
Insurance quote?No problem Tom.
Couldn't believe it myself about the multicar deal. No idea how it works but glad it does! Have also left feedback with them about canvassing owners clubs such as ours, my rationale being that we generally look after our vehicles so much better than those driving more run of the mill stuff, and although the upgrades can make our cars faster, they also undoubtly make them safer! Hey, no harm in putting it out there eh? Cheers. Tim.
Im 26 with a stolen vehicle against my name and plus I stated I would be doing around 15000 a year.... but now decided to save the miles and catch the train instead. ha I also have my Girlfriend on the vehicle and shes 24 lol crazy. She did bring the price down. But yeah - if you speak to these companies people will try and help you out.
